About this scholarship
Canadian citizens may apply for Chevening Scholarships to pursue a one-year taught master's degree at any eligible UK university. The United States is not a Chevening-eligible country; this award is Canada-specific.
Scholarships cover university tuition, a monthly living allowance, travel costs, visa fees, and other approved expenditures for one academic year. Applicants need at least two years of work experience and a conditional or unconditional UK course offer by the reference deadline.
Apply through the Chevening online system when the cycle opens, typically in August, with a closing deadline in October. The 2026-27 cycle is currently closed; the next intake opens August 2026.
Chevening is the UK government's global scholarship programme funded by the FCDO to develop future leaders.
