About this scholarship
Open to full-time students enrolled at Canadian law schools on topics relating to Canadian real property law, public policy, or public affairs. Papers may be written in English or French and must be original scholarly work.
The winner receives a $1,500 prize sponsored by TitlePLUS, with the winning paper published on the National Real Property Section website. A certificate presentation is arranged through the winner's CBA branch.
Submissions are due annually on April 26 by email to cbarealproperty@cba.org. Papers must be 12 to 40 pages with a 150-word abstract and author biography submitted under separate cover. The 2026 deadline is April 26, 2026.
