About this scholarship
Canadian JD, LLB, LLM, or LL.L. students and Class 3 CPATA trainees may submit an original intellectual property essay of 3,000 to 10,000 words on one of the AIPPI 2026 World Congress topics (patents, trademarks, copyright, or litigation themes).
One winning essay receives CAD $2,500.
Entries are due May 1 each year by email to the AIPPI Canada secretary. The 2026 deadline had passed when checked in July 2026.
AIPPI Canada promotes IP scholarship and awareness of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
