NHSC Scholarship Program

Students pursuing eligible primary care health professions training (MD or DO, dentistry, nurse practitioner, nurse midwifery, or physician assistant) at accredited U.S. schools may receive full tuition coverage, fees, a monthly living stipend, and other reasonable educational costs for up to four school years. Approximately 150 new awards are expected.

In exchange, scholars serve at least two years full time at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals enrolled full time in an eligible program.

The National Health Service Corps places primary care providers in underserved communities.
