New York Ramblers Scholarship

Undergraduate student athletes in any sport across the United States who self-identify as LGBTQ+ or as committed straight allies may apply. Graduating high school seniors planning U.S. undergraduate study, or current U.S. undergraduate or graduate students ages 15 to 35, are eligible. Applicants of all citizenship statuses may apply.

Up to three one-time awards of $2,500 are paid directly to the recipient. Submit the application form, three brief essays (150-300 words each), one recommendation letter, a list of honors and activities, and a transcript. Reviewers consider financial need, LGBTQ+ advocacy, sports leadership, academics, and career goals.

Established in 2016 by the New York Ramblers Soccer Club, the scholarship supports LGBTQ+ and ally student athletes pursuing higher education.
