About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors from accredited schools in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply for the NAWC New England Chapter (NENAWC) Career Scholarship. Preference goes to students pursuing drinking water, water engineering, environmental studies, or wastewater fields. Course rigor and relevance are considered.
One $2,000 award is given annually, presented at a NENAWC meeting or event. The Scholarship Committee recommends a recipient; the Board makes the final decision. If no qualified applicant is found, no award is granted that year.
Submit a completed application, an official transcript (including the first half of senior year), and a typed, signed autobiographical sketch covering accomplishments, interests, future plans, chosen field of study and its environmental or public health impact (especially in the water industry), and how the scholarship would help you.
