About this scholarship
Dependent children of North Carolina service members wounded or killed while serving from September 11, 2001 to the present (any branch) who plan to pursue a degree or vocational certification at an accredited North Carolina college, vocational, or technical institution may apply for the NCFRW Caring for America Scholarship.
Up to two $1,000 first-year merit awards are available. Winners are typically notified by the end of May.
The application is available as a PDF through the ncfrw.com member center and requires an essay, SAT/ACT scores, a sealed transcript, three sealed references, and military documentation (DD Form 214, 1300, or equivalent).
