About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents ages 18 to 35 (age 17 if entering college the following academic year) who have lost a parent or guardian to cancer and are attending or planning to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational institution may apply for the National Collegiate Cancer Foundation Legacy Scholarship.
Competitive $1,000 awards are granted; the number of recipients varies. Selection weighs your journey, encouragement of others, financial need, notable accomplishments, and recommendation quality.
Submit a complete application, transcript or acceptance letter, resume, two assigned essays, one peer recommendation, and signed authorization.
