About this scholarship
Legally blind U.S. residents age 18 or older pursuing or planning full-time postsecondary study at a U.S. institution may apply for NFB merit scholarships. Thirty awards of $10,000 are offered; selection weighs academic excellence, community service, and leadership.
Applicants must provide proof of blindness, complete an affiliate president interview, and attend the entire NFB National Convention and all scheduled scholarship activities. Financial need is not required. Apply through scholarships.nfb.org.
The National Federation of the Blind recognizes outstanding blind students nationwide.
