About this scholarship

Students who are legally blind in both eyes, living in Texas and attending a Texas school at the time of application, and pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time post-secondary course of study at a U.S. institution in the fall of the application year may apply for National Federation of the Blind of Texas scholarships. NFB membership is not required. The committee may, at its discretion, consider a part-time student working full-time, or a full-time trade or technical student.

Four awards are available; catalog data lists $3,000. Confirm current amounts with NFBTX. Awards are based on academic excellence and community service.

Finalists must attend the entire NFBTX state convention at the organization's expense.
