About this scholarship
Registered Aviation Explorers aged 14 to 21 who are pursuing careers in the aviation industry may apply for National Aviation Exploring Committee scholarships. Applicants should show they can complete the aviation career education activity they request funding for, plus involvement in life skills, citizenship, leadership, and character experiences.
Catalog data lists five $5,000 awards; sponsor materials also describe four $5,000 awards and one $20,000 award. Confirm current amounts with the sponsor. If funds are used for avionics, pilot, maintenance, or management training, flight training must be through an FAA-approved Part 141 or Part 61 school or an accredited college or university degree path in an aviation profession.
