About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors and GED recipients with a minimum 2.0 GPA who plan to attend a post-secondary institution or vocational or trade school may apply for scholarships from National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club (NABSTMC) chapters.
Awards are up to $5,000. About 20 awards are available across the association's chapters.
Complete the NABSTMC scholarship application, submit an unofficial transcript or GED certificate, write the required essay, and submit materials to your local chapter. Each chapter may forward up to three applications to its Frontier Scholarship Representative.
NABSTMC has more than 113 chapters across five Frontiers supporting students starting academic and career paths.

- Separate letter of introduction: who you are, accomplishments to date, family background, the degree/certificate sought, a summary of how you plan to use the scholarship if selected, and how the schol
- Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior / GED recipient during the 2024 Fall–2025 Summer school year, attending post-secondary or vocational/trade school in 2025
- Official High School Transcript, Home School Transcript, or GED Test Score (no GED certificate)
- Letter of recommendation on official letterhead from a teacher/guidance counselor/school administrator and/or employer
- Letter of recommendation on letterhead from a community service organization
- A letter of acceptance to an institution of higher learning
- Signed Release Form (enclosed)
- Parent's signature if student is under 18
- Recent professional head shot photo
- Essay must be typewritten; topics A/B/C must NOT be about the motorcycle club itself
- Submit materials to the applicant's local NABSTMC chapter; each chapter may forward up to three applications.
- Essay must be typewritten and address one designated Buffalo Soldiers topic, not the motorcycle club itself.
