Nancy Phipps Memorial Award in Opera

Undergraduate or graduate students in the UBC Vancouver School of Music Opera Ensemble are eligible for this award.

The award amount varies within the endowed fund. Recipients are chosen on recommendation of the School of Music; for graduate students, selection is made in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies. There is no separate application.

The fund was established in memory of Nancy Phipps by David Phipps and Gary McMullen. Nancy Phipps was a strong supporter of her community and the arts who took great pleasure in attending performances by the UBC Opera Ensemble.
