About this scholarship

For outstanding undergraduate students in the Integrated Science program at UBC Vancouver who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and demonstrate leadership and community involvement.

Awards are offered annually through a gift from a UBC alumna in honour of Nafeesa Alibhai.

Made on the recommendation of the Integrated Sciences Program. Students apply to intsci@science.ubc.ca when the application cycle is open.

Nafeesa is a queer and trans disabled Muslim and second-generation Khoja immigrant who earned a B.Sc. in Integrated Sciences at UBC in 2022, the first in their family to receive a university degree.
