NACBS Dissertation Fellowship

PhD students at U.S. or Canadian institutions who are ABD and conducting dissertation research in the British Isles on British history or British studies may be nominated. Nominees must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and both the advisor and nominee must be NACBS members.

The fellowship provides a $10,000 stipend for at least three months of full-time research. Two runners-up receive $5,000 travel grants.

Apply through advisor nomination plus one additional reference. Submit a 1,000-word research proposal and a CV.
