NAACP Environmental Scholarships

Junior or senior high school students in Chicago who have demonstrated a commitment to environmentalism through lifestyle, work, or volunteering and plan to major in an environmental field may apply for Chicago Westside Branch NAACP environmental scholarships. One $1,000 award is open to westside Chicago students (including suburbs); the other $1,000 award is open to students anywhere in Chicago.

Two $1,000 scholarships are offered. Attendance at the branch's Environmental Recap Summit is mandatory to remain eligible, and awardees must participate in at least the January and February Environmental and Climate Justice Committee meetings.
