Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Undergraduate Studies Scholarship Programme

For Canadian students who want to pursue undergraduate studies at a Japanese university, offered by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The scholarship typically runs five years beginning in April (seven years for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or a six-year pharmacy course), with the first year for language training. Applicants need a high school diploma or higher and, for the 2027 recruitment, must have been born on or after April 2, 2002. The award amount varies; one place is listed.
