About this scholarship
Mississippi residents with one year of state residency, a minimum 2.5 GPA, ACT score of 20 or higher, Pell Grant eligibility, income within program limits, and completion of the HELP core curriculum may apply for full-tuition assistance at approved Mississippi postsecondary institutions.
The award covers full tuition for up to four years, or eight semesters, at an approved in-state institution. Students at private colleges receive an amount equal to the nearest comparable public institution's award.
Submit the FAFSA and MAAPP application by March 31, with certified HELP core curriculum and residency documents due April 30.
The Mississippi Higher Education Legislative Plan for Needy Students provides tuition assistance to qualified students whose financial need is not fully met by other gift aid.
