About this scholarship
Surviving children and spouses of education, health care, not-for-profit, public safety, or local or state government employees who died in the line of duty may apply for postsecondary scholarships through MissionSquare's Memorial Scholarship Fund partners.
Awards of up to $10,000 are determined by merit and financial need and cannot exceed tuition and fees. Applicants must plan to enroll full time at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Apply through Scholarship America, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, or Concerns of Police Survivors, depending on the qualifying line-of-duty death. High school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students are eligible.
Established in 2001, the fund has raised over $1.5 million and awarded more than 500 scholarships to families of fallen public sector employees nationwide.
