About this scholarship
High school seniors in Maryland or Washington, D.C., who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical school may apply for one of eight zone-based Miss Utility of Maryland/D.C. scholarships.
Each recipient receives a single-year award of $1,008.11.
Submit the online application with contact information, an unofficial transcript, and a typed essay of up to 500 words on the importance of Miss Utility/District One Call and how it relates to your planned career path.
Miss Utility of Maryland/D.C. promotes safe digging practices and underground utility awareness across the region.

- Must be a graduating high school senior from Maryland or Washington, D.C.
- Must plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical school
- Open only to legal residents of Maryland and the District of Columbia
- Essay must address the importance of Miss Utility/District One Call and its relation to the applicant's planned career path.
