About this scholarship
Outstanding UBC Vancouver students in the second year of the Master of Physical Therapy program may apply. Preference is given to students who demonstrate an interest in seniors' health.
Scholarships totalling $4,000 are made available annually; individual award amounts vary.
An application and a reference letter are required through the Department of Physical Therapy's internal awards process. Recipients are recommended by the department in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
The scholarships are funded through gifts from friends and family in memory of Ming Leung (1954-2021), a UBC rehabilitation sciences graduate whose physiotherapy career focused on seniors' health and falls prevention in long-term care across the Lower Mainland.
