About this scholarship
Graduate or law students enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution who are committed to careers improving workers' lives may apply for the MLB Players Trust Michael Weiner Scholarship for Labor Studies. Selection weighs a strong academic record, demonstrated commitment to the labor movement, a recommendation from an academic or labor practitioner, communication skills, and financial need (FAFSA or equivalent preferred).
Up to five scholarships of at least $10,000 each are awarded from a $50,000 annual pool (catalog lists $10,000 per award).
Prepare academic records, a labor-practitioner or academic recommendation, and evidence of financial need, then submit the Players Trust application.
Recipients are chosen by a committee of people close to Michael Weiner and gain access to Players Trust networking resources.
