About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area who participated in the Metro Youth Football Association tackle program and play varsity football may apply for MYFA Legacy Scholarships. Four $1,500 awards are available for Spring 2027 graduates. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required.
Postmark applications by August 30 with an essay and a non-family letter of recommendation. Awards may be used for two- or four-year college or skilled trade training. MYFA established the scholarship to emphasize education to players, parents, and coaches.

- Eligibility: graduating senior in Class of 2027, played in MYFA Tackle Football program, still playing competitive high school football, cumulative GPA 2.50+, planning education beyond high school

- Essay must be anonymized and omit identifying references.
