About this scholarship
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons who have been Alberta residents for 12 consecutive months before starting their program, have applied to or enrolled in a full-time medical or dentistry school designated for provincial funding, are not in default of a provincial student loan, and agree to live and work in northern Alberta under a return-of-service agreement.
This non-repayable bursary is $14,000 per year for up to four years of medical or dentistry school (a higher partnership option may also be available). Return of service is one year of full-time work in your field for each year of bursary support. Students may receive only one of the Northern Alberta Development Bursary, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Bursary, or Bursary Partnership Program per academic year.
