About this scholarship

Open to Métis people of Canada, as defined in the Constitution Act, 1982, with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in a professional or graduate program with differential fees (non-direct entry) at the University of Alberta. Students cannot also be eligible for awards designated for registered or treaty Indians, and cannot receive this award and MNA Labour Market Development sponsorship in the same academic year.

Award amounts vary. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, and demonstrated involvement in the Métis community.
