About this scholarship
Full-time continuing Métis graduate students (master's or PhD) at the University of Lethbridge who are Canadian citizens may apply. Applicants need Métis heritage, financial need, a minimum 3.0 GPA and satisfactory performance, and must not be receiving funding from Rupertsland Institute-Metis Training Employment Services. Proof of Métis ancestry is required (for example a valid Métis Nation citizenship card, a parent's, grandparent's, or sibling's card with kinship proof, or other validated genealogy linking to the Métis Homeland).
The award is $10,000, paid in a single installment on February 1. Final recipient approval comes from the Rupertsland Organization, so results may be delayed until late fall or early spring.
