About this scholarship

Indiana residents diagnosed with muscular dystrophy or a neuromuscular disease listed by the Muscular Dystrophy Association may apply for the MDFF Educational Scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled with the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation and may be high school, college, homeschool, or continuing education students at accredited colleges, trade schools, or certificate programs.

One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually, sponsored by Busey Bank in partnership with MDFF. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and character.

Submit the application through the MDFF website between March 1 and June 1 with personal, academic, and medical information and any required documentation. The scholarship honors Andrew "Sparky" Seever, a former MDFF board member and Ball State alumnus known for his passion for education and accessibility.
