About this scholarship

Full-time University of Waterloo undergraduates participating in an approved academic exchange or study-abroad term may apply. Eligible candidates include third-year French Studies students studying in France (University of Nantes or another approved school), and third- or fourth-year Faculty of Mathematics students studying at an approved school in the United Kingdom, Europe, or the United States, with preference for Applied Mathematics.

One $1,200 award is provided annually. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 75% overall average) and a personal letter describing planned learning outcomes. Financial need may also be considered, with preference for travel to an unfamiliar country and culture.

Apply through the Student Awards & Financial Aid Office by July 15.

The award was established by Professors Helene and Ray McLenaghan to encourage international study.
