About this scholarship
Queen's University students may compete for this prize with an original poem, short story, or play.
The award amount varies. Submit competitive papers to the Associate University Registrar (Financial Aid and Awards) by February 1. Each paper must bear a motto instead of the author's name and include a sealed envelope with the same motto containing a signed declaration that it is the author's unaided composition.
Founded by the parents of J. Max McIlquham, a Queen's student from 1912 to 1915 who was killed on service overseas.
