About this scholarship
Full-time JD students at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, of the University of Ottawa who are racialized, Indigenous, or LGBTQ2S+, demonstrate financial need, and have work experience may apply. Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and persons with protected or refugee status.
The award is $10,000, renewable to $7,000 in year 2 and $3,000 in year 3 on reapplication. A minimum of four awards are made annually.
Apply via uoZone by May 1 with the Financial Questionnaire, identity documentation, a 500-word financial hardship letter, and an employer reference.
The McDougall Family Scholarship supports Common Law JD students who enhance the section's diversity and demonstrate financial need.
