Mayor's Scholarship

Philadelphia residents with demonstrated financial need who are admitted to the University of Pennsylvania may be designated Mayor's Scholars as part of their need-based aid package. The program supports high school seniors who attend schools in Philadelphia or contiguous counties.

Award amounts vary by need. Mayor's Scholars receive an aid package that meets 100% of demonstrated need without loans, renewable if need continues. No separate application; eligible admitted students are notified during financial aid review.

Penn offers this program in agreement with the City of Philadelphia.
