May L. Barnett Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Plant Science

Open to graduate students in Plant Science at UBC Vancouver who are working on the improvement of agricultural and/or horticultural plants.

One or more scholarships are available, with amounts varying by cycle. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, with no separate student application.

The scholarships were endowed by Roy Barnett in memory of his mother, May L. Barnett, who developed and nurtured plants in her extensive garden.
