About this scholarship
Graduate students in an MA or PhD program studying archaeology or ethnoarchaeology of the American Southwest or South American Andes, or other regions with significant Indigenous collaboration, may apply for SAA's Matthew Tobin Cappetta Archaeological Scholarship.
Four variable awards may cover tuition, fees, books, field schools, or directed study. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA and may reapply each year.
Submit an application form, biography, research interests statement, proposed study statement, and budget by January 31. The endowment honors Matthew Tobin Cappetta and supports advanced study in regions central to his work.
