About this scholarship
High school seniors and current college students within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga, Tennessee who are children of breast cancer patients (survivors, those in treatment, or deceased) may apply for MaryEllen Locher Foundation scholarships.
Award amounts vary by year based on need and essays. Grades are not the dominant selection factor; community service and financial need are also considered.
Recipients must complete a breast cancer awareness project during the scholarship year and reapply annually.
