About this scholarship
Graduating seniors from Westmoor High School in Daly City, California who plan full-time enrollment in a two- or four-year college or vocational certification program with demonstrated financial need and community service commitment may apply through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
Awards are up to $3,000.
Submit the application packet to the Westmoor High School guidance office by April 3.

- Completed application form.
- Official high school transcript; official college transcript if college coursework was completed.
- Financial-need evidence: Student Aid Report with FAFSA/DREAM Act summary and EFC, or parent/guardian's most recent Form 1040.
- Required teacher or academic-advisor reference; optional work/volunteer supervisor or youth-leader reference.
- Personal statement addressing education or vocational plans, career goals, life challenges, and scholarship impact (500–850 words).
- Completed application form (attach additional pages if necessary)
- Up to 2 letters of reference: one REQUIRED from a teacher or academic advisor, one OPTIONAL from a work/volunteer supervisor or youth leader (on official letterhead, signed and dated)
- Official high school transcript (and official college transcript if college coursework completed); photocopies/internet copies not accepted
- Evidence of financial need: Student Aid Report (SAR) with FAFSA/DREAM Act summary and EFC, OR a copy of parent/guardian most recent Tax Form 1040
- Personal statement must include applicant name and date on each page, and be attached to the application
