Marnie Carter Scholarship in Music

UBC School of Music students studying piano, collaborative piano, composition, or music education may be nominated.

Scholarships from this endowment total $6,800; the per-recipient amount varies. The fund honours Marnie Carter, who since 1963 has been an inspirational force in the Vancouver musical community as a performer, piano teacher, vocal coach, and passionate supporter of the arts. The award was created by her friends and family in honour of her birthday.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the School of Music and, for graduate students, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
