About this scholarship
Alberta residents who completed Grades 7, 8, and 9 at Jan Pawel II Polish Bilingual School, graduated in the current academic year, and are enrolled full-time in any post-secondary program may apply for one of five $1,000 scholarships funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons (visa students are not eligible) and meet Alberta residency rules.
Recipients are selected on Grade 12 academic excellence in five Rutherford-eligible courses on an official Alberta transcript. Apply to Alberta Student Aid between August 1 and October 31.
The scholarship is named in memory of Maria Sava, who helped establish the bilingual program and taught at the school for over 20 years.
