Margaret Mead Award

Early-career anthropologists who earned a Ph.D. within the past ten years and whose book, film, or monograph makes anthropological research accessible to the public may be nominated for the Margaret Mead Award.

Award amounts vary. A nomination package requires a nomination letter, a support letter, a CV, and copies of the work. Nominees are judged on intellectual quality, clarity and accessibility, and depth and breadth of impact.
