Maine Veterans Dependents Educational Benefits

Spouses and dependents of qualifying Maine veterans (100% service-connected disability, killed in action, died of service-connected disability, POW/MIA for 90 or more days, or certain other statuses) who are Maine residents may receive Maine Veterans Dependents Educational Benefits.

Eligible recipients receive a full tuition waiver covering tuition and all mandatory fees at University of Maine System schools, Maine Community Colleges, or Maine Maritime Academy. Doctoral degrees are excluded.

Applicants must apply for the Federal Pell Grant and submit the Maine Veterans Dependents Educational Benefits application. Children must enroll by age 22.
