About this scholarship
Sacramento-region residents who have shown a commitment to Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and are pursuing careers in community development, counseling, education, environmental protection, or innovative social or economic development may apply for the Madeline Rosenthal Goodwin Memorial Scholarship. Qualifying advocacy can include affordable housing, low-income communities, seniors, disability, homelessness, social services, environmental protection, civil rights, and related causes.
Two $1,500 awards are given.
Apply through the sponsor process with materials that document residency, academic plans, and community commitment.
Theodore and Susan Goodwin established the fund in memory of Theodore's mother, Madeline, a lifelong community activist who believed in education and community service.
