About this scholarship
For UBC Faculty of Medicine students who submit the best essays on topics in the history of medicine. Recipients are chosen based on the quality of the paper and academic merit.
Prizes totalling $1,550 are awarded annually.
The prize was endowed by the late Dr. M.M. Weaver, first Dean of Medicine at the University. Awards are made on faculty recommendation.
