About this scholarship
High school seniors, or prior recipients currently in college, from Saginaw County, Michigan; Lyon County, Minnesota; or Muscatine County, Iowa may apply for the Louis R. and Helen E. Schwartz FFA Agricultural Scholarship through the Saginaw Community Foundation. Applicants need a minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need, and must pursue a full-time undergraduate degree in agriculture or an agriculture-related field.
Award amounts vary. Selection weighs scholastic record, recommendations, leadership, financial need, work and farm background, essay, agricultural coursework, 4-H or FFA participation, and community involvement.
