Loretta H. Yaskiel Scholarship

A full-time undergraduate student in good standing at Toronto Metropolitan University who has demonstrated excellence in court reporting or writing on legal or justice issues may apply.

The award is $1,616.91.

Loretta Yaskiel already had a law degree when she began journalism studies at TMU, graduated in 1998, and later returned to establish scholarships in the bachelor and master of journalism programs. She died suddenly on March 8, 2009; friends and family endowed this award in her memory.
