About this scholarship

Graduating seniors from Gratiot County, Michigan high schools with at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrated financial need may apply for the Loren and Becky Roslund Scholarship through the Gratiot County Community Foundation. Preference goes to students pursuing agriculture, engineering, computer-aided drafting, or a similar field at a college, university, or vocational or trade school. Previous recipients may reapply without preference.

One $1,500 award is given.

Submit a personal letter of reference from a non-family member such as clergy, a teacher, or an advisor, along with the foundation application materials.

Loren and Becky Roslund began their farm in 1977. After raising their daughters with agriculture as a daily part of life, the family established the scholarship in 2009 to help other young adults interested in agricultural or agri-business careers.
