About this scholarship
Alabama women who are U.S. citizens with significant financial need and a strong academic record may apply for the Linly Heflin Scholarship. Applicants must attend or plan to attend a four-year Alabama college or university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, with a minimum ACT score of 23 (superscored) and full-time enrollment.
Recipients receive $10,000 per year for up to eight semesters within five years.
Applications open October 1. Submit the online application with transcripts, letters of recommendation, and income verification by the deadline.
