Leonora Sheppard Award in Family Medicine

Awarded to a Family Medicine resident at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry based on clinical excellence, with a certificate or registration to practice medicine in Ontario and a recognized physician remuneration mechanism. The recipient intends to practice comprehensive community family medicine in Ontario for a minimum of five years after residency.

Preference is given to students who intend to practice in Southwestern Ontario including Kitchener-Waterloo. Two awards of $24,000. Residents may self-nominate with optional faculty support.
