Leonard M. Perryman Scholarship for Minorities

United Methodist ethnic minority juniors or seniors majoring in journalism or communications at accredited U.S. colleges who intend to pursue careers in religion journalism may apply for the Leonard M. Perryman Communications Scholarship from United Methodist Communications.

One award of $2,500 supports undergraduate study in religion journalism or mass communications.

Submit application materials demonstrating church involvement, academic achievement, journalistic experience, and career goals by March 15 via email or mail.

The scholarship honors Leonard M. Perryman, a Methodist journalist who served the church for 30 years.
