Lena and Theo Thiessen Memorial Service Award in Education

For a student in the Bachelor of Education program at UBC Vancouver who demonstrates leadership in contributing to society by volunteering in their community or in developing countries.

The award is a $1,950 service award offered by Margareta Thiessen in memory of her parents, Lena and Theo Thiessen, who valued education. It is made on Faculty of Education recommendation.
