About this scholarship

Self-identified LGBTQ+ graduating high school seniors who are U.S. citizens or legal immigrants, have at least a 3.0 GPA (weighted allowed), and plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school in the United States or Canada may apply for LEAGUE Foundation scholarships.

Award amounts vary across multiple tiers. Proceeds are sent directly to the school, not to the student.

Complete the online application (typically open January through April) with two personal essays, at least two non-family recommendation letters, a detailed community-involvement list (LGBTQ+ leadership weighted more heavily), an official transcript, and proof of acceptance. Family members and mentors may help ensure a complete submission. Decisions are usually announced in July.
