About this scholarship
Connecticut residents who identify as Black, African American, or Latino and are enrolled in a Master of Social Work program in Connecticut or New York may apply for the Laurel House Social Work Racial Equity Scholarship.
Two one-time awards of $10,000 each cover tuition, books, and related fees, paid directly to the recipient's graduate school. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and a commitment to advancing racial equity in mental health care.
Submit proof of Connecticut residency, enrollment documentation, financial need materials, and a letter of recommendation from a college or university you have attended by May 15.
Laurel House supports future social workers dedicated to improving mental health access in underserved communities of color.
